The Adoption Support Center Information Seminar
Isn’t the Internet overwhelming? There are so many adoption opportunities; domestic and international, newborns and toddlers, healthy and special needs, one race or a multitude of ethnic blends. What kind of experience do you want? What little person do you want to raise? From where? How long will it take? How much will it cost?
Let us help!
The Adoption Support Center offers an informational seminar for anyone that wants to learn more about modern adoption and the options for becoming parents. We talk honestly about the current trends in adoption, based on our recent placements. We review our programs in detail and offer some other avenues for your options to becoming parents. We hope to help you find the right resource for your specific situation. This informational seminar takes place in our Broad Ripple building. Lasting approximately two and one-half hours in length, the setting is casual and relaxed. We encourage both parents to attend, or a support person for single adopters. Due to limited space, we prefer children not attend this meeting.
Our philosophy is, “You will get the child you are meant to raise.”
We believe everyone can be parents in a year. We will always tell you what you need to know and not what you want to hear. We are optimistic and positive but won’t send you down some garden path of promises. You’ve been through enough. If you need some direction or answers, the seminar is the next step. You may or may not be suited for our plans. We will still give you advice. You won’t be disappointed.
If you would like to attend our adoption seminar, we require a review of our Adoption Intake Form (PDF) and a $35 seminar registration fee. If you sign on with one of ASC’s programs (Gold or Blue) the seminar fee will be applied to your application fee. You can fax, email, or mail the intake form back into the agency. See our Contact Us section for details. Once your intake form is reviewed, you will be contacted by an Adoption Assistant.
